As the threat to our freedom becomes more prevalent with all the Active Shooter events we have suffered and the threat of ISIS coming to our door. Tactical Combat Casualty Care or Tactical Emergency Casualty Care classes are in hot demand. More so with established education facilities like Tactical Medics Group who are excellent providers of both courses. But how do you become a TCCC or TECC instructor? Well there is a few different pathways to consider, some are more restricting.
Generally, the first thing you need to do is the provider course, then do the NAEMT Online instructors course and then source a training agency that has an Affiliate Faculty on staff that will accept your application to be monitored. NAEMT has minimum prerequisites and the training agency has theirs. Note that the later could have more stringent requirements.
That being Said the path you take can be limiting depending on the direction you go. Since the TCCC and TECC are very similar they are in fact quite different when it comes to the direction you want to take and the qualification you want to obtain.
Let’s start here....
1. If you do the TECC provider, then do the NAEMT online course and then monitored on a TECC course. You will be allowed to teach TECC & LEFR courses.
2. If you do the TCCC provider, then do the NAEMT online course and then monitored on a TECC course. You will be allowed to teach TECC & LEFR courses; and
3. If you do the TCCC provider, then do the NAEMT online course and then monitored on a TCCC course. You will be allowed to teach TCCC, TECC & LEFR courses.
