Pyro Technician - Casual

 

Introduction

Tactical Medics Group is a leader in providing high end, realistic Tactical Combat Casualty Care (TCCC) Training. We are in the process of vetting applications for a Pyro Technician. The Pyro Technician (PT) position is a critical role player in the overall success of our amazing scenarios.  They are responsible for everything that goes "Bang", "Boom", Smoke and sound affects on the P.A. System and more  The successful applicant will be required to do the following and more:

Setup the Pyro/ Weapons station.

Function check all equipment and oil if necessary

Be accountable for all remote detonated pyro, blank ammunition, flash bangs, smoke

Ensure safety checks are done to standard

Issue weapons per standards

Secure weapons when required

Setup remote detonated pyro for all scenarios

Setup PA system and manage sounds

Pick up and remove all expended pyro

Clean and oil all weapons before securing them

Pack up and store your duty station at the completion of training

Notify management of any stores deficiencies required before the next course

Assist with any other duties directed by management

 

Hours

You will be required whenever we run our TCCC courses, typically 2 or months notice is given before the course starts

For local courses your hours will be on a Sunday from 0800-1700

For going away courses will be a standard work day plus up to two travel days

Required

Good working knowledge of AR-15, Remington 870 shotgun, AK-47 and other weapons systems. Previous EOD work an advantage!

Citizenship: Must be a US Citizen by birth or Naturalized

No Felony or Domestic Violence convictions

Have a current license to carry

Valid Driver’s License

High school Diploma or GED

Honorable Discharge from the Military - DD-214 will be reviewed

Resume w/full job history

Candidates must be in good physical condition.

Be capable of successfully enduring the stress of working in summer heat

PRIOR WORK EXPERIENCE

With pyros and weapons a plus.

Military Service

4+ years Military Combat Arms Experience or current law enforcement.

Advanced EMT or National or State Registered Paramedic is an advantage.
